Epoch FAQ
How do I start a timer?+
Open a task and tap Start. You can also start it from a widget, Control Center, Siri or your Apple Watch. A running timer shows on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
Can I have folders inside folders?+
Yes, as deep as you like. Timers live only on tasks. Folders show the total of everything inside them.
How is cost calculated?+
Set a default hourly rate in Settings. A folder or a task can override it, and children inherit from their parent. A rate of zero means free work, which is different from leaving the rate empty.
How do I back up or move my data?+
Epoch keeps a backup once a day, and the newest seven are kept. Open the Files app, then On My iPhone, then Epoch. You can also export a timesheet or all your data as CSV or JSON from Settings.
How do I delete my data?+
Delete the app. If you used iCloud, also open Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Storage, and remove Epoch.
Why does Epoch ask for calendar access?+
Only so a planned task can be added to your calendar when you choose to. You can refuse and everything else still works.
Why does Epoch ask for Screen Time access?+
Only for focus mode, which blocks apps you select during a focus session. It is optional.
Does it work offline?+
Yes. Epoch does not need an internet connection.
Does Epoch collect my data?+
